Stall
Holders Information

exciting business venue in Lobethal, for a wide range of local vendors,
producers and crafters. A combination of permanent and casual stalls will ensure
an ever-changing experience for visitors with a comfortable and entertaining
atmosphere. We are part of the ever increasing Tourist Attraction of the Old
Woollen Mill, Lobethal with many other places of interest for visitors. 1.
All stall holders
are required to complete a Traders
Application Form

Market is open
between the hours of 3.
Market Organiser
reserves the right of refusal of entry to traders and visitors. 4.
Sites may be setup
from 9:00am on Trading days (and between 12.00pm and 4.00pm on Thursday by
arrangement). All stallholders will be required to have completed setting up
their stalls by 5.
Trader’s parking
is available in the designated parking area (behind Building 26 or Building 1). 6.
Permission must be
obtained from Market Organiser if loading and unloading is needed during Market
operating hours. 7.
Once approval is
given to a trader for the range and selection of products noted on the
application, no other products may be sold. If a trader wishes to vary their
products a new application is required. 8.
Stallholders are
required to meet minimum display standards and are responsible for providing
their own tables, trestles and display material, although trestles are available
for hire from the Organiser. 9.
Stallholders will
not be permitted to pack up or move out before the close of the operating hours. 10.
Stallholders must
obtain Public and Products Liability Insurance cover to $10 million and produce
a current certificate. The organiser can provide this cover if necessary at
$5.00 /day (except for Food Stalls). 11.
Site fee includes
use of power where available, within reason (cash registers, product lighting).
Excessive use will be charged separately (Electric Heaters are not allowed). 12.
Any stallholder
selling food products must abide by health and labelling laws and must be
registered and provide their notification number. Information regarding this can
be obtained from your local Council. Public & Product Liability Insurance is
strictly required. 13.
All fees for
bookings for casual stalls must be paid 7 days prior to the specified Market
day. 14.
Specific sites may
be reserved for future markets. No refund will be given if site is not occupied
on the specified Market day. Long
term bookings are available. SERVICES EFTPOS/CC Facility ¨
Traders may use
this simple service. Using a Multiple Trader Shopping Docket, customers can make
purchases from any number of stalls and then pay with one transaction at the
EFTPOS counter. ¨
Traders must
retain the goods until the customer returns with a valid receipt attached to the
white copy of the docket. ¨
Our service fee is
just 2.5%. Transaction fees will be deducted from the reimbursement. ¨
Customer
transactions reimbursements will be made the following weekend (unless you are a
casual trader and not returning the following week in which case the
reimbursement will be made on the day). If you would like reimbursement by
Direct Credit to a nominated bank account, please let us know. This way the
money is in your bank by Thursday. ¨
You are advised to
keep a log of CC/EFTPOS sales that you do, to be able to reconcile these with
our reimbursement. ¨
Cash
reimbursements will be handed out for your sales on the following Saturday
morning (permanent traders) in the envelope case. Casual traders can receive
reimbursement before they leave on the last day of the weekend. Display
/ Merchandising ¨
If you require
assistance with display ideas and layout – we offer qualified assistance and
materials at cost. Please ask the organiser. ¨
Furniture
– Trestles, tables, chairs, crates. o
Trestle Hire –
1.8 metre trestles available at $3 per day. o
Please ask if you
wish to borrow anything for setting up. ¨
Power
and Lighting o
Each site has
access to power and has overhead lighting. Space
availability Casual Arrangement ¨
Average Site Size
is 2.5 metres x 2.5 metres. Cost of sites will vary dependant upon the size
requirement. A guide for casual rental is about $80.00 per weekend. Floor Plan
and Rates are published separately. Stalls can be combined to accommodate larger
space requirements where available. Permanent
Arrangement ¨
Individual License
Agreements for fixed terms can be negotiated with the Market Organiser for
certain sites. A draft copy is available. Permanent is considered to be an
ongoing long term site. A minimum of four weeks notice is required to terminate. Rates Inside
Site Fees ¨
Rates for inside
sites are calculated at $5 per sq.mtr. per day on a casual basis. ¨
Public &
Property Liability Insurance is charged at $5 per day if you do not have your
own cover. ¨
The average fee is
$80.00 / weekend for a 3 metre fronted stall. Food stalls must have their
own Public & Product Liability Insurance. Permanent rates are negotiated
from this starting point. All market stall site fees are assessed and revised
where necessary to provide equitable rates for all traders. Outside
Site Fees ¨
Please note that
the site fee for all outside stalls is $40 per day. This accounts the freedom of
space available. This applies to general market stalls on weekends where no
special events are happening. Rent
payments ¨
Casual sites fees
are paid 7 days in advance. Permanent sites fees due before trading commences
each week. We will provide envelopes for payment of rent. ¨
